Those pictures were taken in July of 2002 in the Podocarpus National Park, which boasts of very distinct ecosystems. The bromeliads shown here, are from the high zone called Cajanuma, which lies between 2400m and 3000m and boasts of a high cloud forest turning into a low shrub paramo-like area.
