These butterflies were photographed in October of 2002 in the private reserve of Cerro Blanco and in July of 2003 in the interior of Manabi, constituting dry tropical forest areas of the country. Dry tropical forests are marked by two distinct seasons, a rainy one from Januay to May and the dry season in the rest of the year, when those photos were taken.
