Those butterflies were photgraphed in the Sumaco / Galeras National Park in the Amazon Highlands. Some were taken on the road from Loreto to Archidona leading through the park and some on the hike up to Sumaco volcano. Altitudinal range is between 1000m to 2500m and various small rivers are crossed where many of those butterflies can be seen flying in the sunshine.
